Spring Break, Day 4

Happy birthday to us!
We started the morning slow,

We hit one of our favorite trails, good ol' Eberhart:

This little spot is what makes us love this place so much.
The last time we were here,
there was absolutely no water.
We walked up the riverbed on bare rocks!
It was like being somewhere completely different this time with all the water!

We had the sweetest little picnic lunch here on this rock.

There were these beautiful moths or butterflies of some sort,
and they were literally digging in the ground.
They didn't seem to be afraid of us at all!

Toes in the water, again!
This time with no pants, either, apparently.

I can't even tell you how long they did this.

While they skipped, I snuck away with my girl:

I bet his arm was sore the next day!

While they skipped,
Lana made a firepit:

She has so many talents, so many things she's just naturally good it.
It's really uncanny,
and I can't wait to see how the Lord brings it all together in her life!

We like to place our bets on how long it will take us to hike out,
and the winner gets an extra Oreo.

Lana always wins!

We stopped for a break
(that Lana was NOT pleased about),
and Tucker drew this in the sand.
It's a heart, with an M inside for Mommy.
Then he added + T.
M + T.
Be still my heart.

This is the 20th birthday that we've known each other.
We've literally grown up together,
and I love him more now than I ever would have dreamed.
Here's to trail hiking together 20 years from now, babe.

We made it back home to our buddies waiting on the porch.

It was a perfect night for Enos and relaxing before dinner.

We finally got enough of a signal to watch our very favorite birthday wish:

Sweet, sweet sleep.
