Today was the last day of school -
we officially have a 5th grader and a 1st grader!
We moved the kids from the public school I teach in
to a private, discipleship-based Christian school in January,
and it's been a wonderful semester.
We've seen so much growth in them, academically and otherwise.
Tucker's transition was seamless;
you would never know he hadn't been with his class the entire year.
Lana's transition was a little more difficult for her -
4th grade is a weird time to make such a big change.
She is the toughest, bravest little person I know.
She received a character award for "Helpfulness,"
and it makes me so proud that even as the new student,
her teacher would notice her desire to put others' needs before her own.
She has a strength of character that makes my heart so full.
