Tucker graduates from VPK!

Tucker has finished his last year of preschool
(called Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten or VPK for short)
and is ready for kindergarten!

Tucker's September 10 birthday means that he is one of the oldest in his class....
he will start kindergarten in August and turn 6 a few weeks later.
It is so good for a boy to be old when he starts school.
As a first grade teacher, I see how much they grow and develop in just one year.
The boys who are old are usually far more confident and developmentally ready to learn.

Tucker was overdue by 3 weeks - if he had come on his original due date,
he would have made the school cut off and would have been the youngest in his class.
So glad for God taking care of that detail for us!

We were happy to celebrate his graduation from Gonzalez United Methodist's VPK program yesterday afternoon.

Almost 6 years old.
That's 1/3 of the time he will spend in our home,
under our direct discipleship.
Gone, in the blink of an eye.

Their class did such a great job showing all they've learned this year!

Every child had a special part in graduation.
Tucker's special part was showing how well he can read!

I did okay and didn't cry until this song:

Precious Mrs. Lottie & Mrs. Lisa!
Oh how we love them!

Loved the Graduate Slideshow!

This is such a clip of my son's personality.
As the director made closing remarks, we looked over to see him doing this with his diploma.

He was so happy that Nana & PawPaw came to watch him graduate!

 Team Davis -
we now have no preschoolers!  Crazy!
Everyone is school age and above.  :)
