Disney Day 5: Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom just requires 2 days to fully enjoy, so we planned another day in our favorite park to end our vacation.

We wanted to be there for rope drop again, to get another ride on the Mine Train before the crowds hit. This is what our morning looked like:
We parents were up and ready to go, and the littles just kept snoozing.

Fortunately, they woke up in time for us to throw some clothes on them and let them brush their teeth, and we made that early bus to rope drop.

It didn't take them long to get excited.
Here's what Lana did as we waited for the park to open:
She got herself a map and was making notes of all the places we wanted to go and rides we wanted to ride on this last day.  LOVE my little planner!

We did make the Mine Train again at rope drop -
it was a great strategy and well worth getting there early because the wait times for that ride for the rest of the day were around 2 hours.

Dan had snagged us a FastPass for Buzz Lightyear:

We took very few pictures this day because the crowds were NUTS.  We wouldn't believe the difference.  Lines were closer to 75 minutes for rides like Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, and Space Mountain, which we had ridden on Tuesday with wait times of 10 minutes or less.  People were shoulder to shoulder everywhere you went.  We were spoiled by the light crowds earlier in the week!

We took a break in the middle of the day to ride to Kona for lunch at the Polynesian Resort:

We had more wait times today, that the kids found creative ways to entertain themselves, like feeding ducks from their hands:

We stayed at the park until around 5, using our FastPasses and taking the time to wait for our very favorites (like Goofy's Barnstorm for Tucker and Thunder and Space Mountain for Lana)

and then decided to call it a day.  We headed back to the hotel for time in the pool and a restful evening:
