Disney Day 3: Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

We were so excited to go to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on Tuesday night!

We had been working on our costumes for weeks:

Too bad this was the last time we really got to show them off that night!
We came out of our hotel room all dressed up, and walked into pouring, monsoon, soaking rain.  This was not a Florida afternoon thunderstorm that went as quickly as it came - it was a soaker.  It rained hard for hours, so we had to decide if we were going to let the rain bum us out or just keep going.  So we threw on those ponchos and kept right on going!

You can see the water pouring down into the puddles near our feet.  Oh dear.

Teacups!

Ya'll we were just drowned rats!
They moved most of the trick-or-treating inside, so that was good!

Around 8 p.m., the rain slowed down enough for us to hop on some rides:

We even got to ride our beloved Mine Train again with no wait.

and we hopped on Space Mountain
(this was the first and last time Tucker rode - he hated the dark!)

The rain stopped just in time for the parade at 9:00 p.m.!

It was beautiful and so different from the normal parade!

She was so precious just waving and waving.
It melts me into a puddle to see these glimpses of my little girl.

Tucker was enthralled every moment.

After the parade we headed back into the park for more rides with no wait times.

We shut the park down that night!
It was midnight before we left, and the streets were literally empty.
What a great day!
